Sarah L. Smith

Sarah Loftus Smith, age 17, of North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Born on December 31, 1994, in Newark, DE, she was the daughter of Campbell Murray Smith, Jr. and Mary Anne Loftus Smith.

Sarah was a student at Padua Academy and loved being with her friends, reading and music.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her siblings, Campbell M. Smith, III and wife, Stephanie, Clayton, DE, and their children, Harry and Kendall, Shannon S. McBride and husband, Eric, Meridian, ID, and their children, Kaleb, Owen and Logan, and Sean M. Smith, North East, MD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon, Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church, 455 Bow St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will be held in the chapel from 9:30-11:45 a.m. Interment will follow Mass in Old St. Anne's Episcopal Cemetery, St. Anne's Church Road, Middletown, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception School or Padua Academy, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921.
