Ruby Dunn, 87, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord March 25, 2016. Born in West Jefferson, NC, she was the daughter of Dillard and Bena Church Phipps.

Mrs. Dunn moved to West Grove, PA, where she met and married Curtis Dunn and in their 69 years together they raised 7 children.

Ruby is survived by her children; Allan Dunn and wife, Linda, Mountain City, TN, Deborah Criddle, Melbourne, FL, Steve Dunn and wife, Carole, Elkton, MD, Penny Ewing and companion, Jay Solge, Wilmington, DE; Pamela Hamill and husband, Kevin, Newark, DE and Vincent Dunn and girlfriend, Lisa McCraw, North East, MD. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Gene Combs, Amy Combs, Denise Brown, Stephanie Phillips, Allan Fonseca, Austin Dunn and Troy Hamill; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Dunn, sister, Dora Hutto, daughter, Sandy Goddard, granddaughter Angie Criddle, and grandson Tyler Hamill.

Ruby loved her family, they meant everything to her. She had a strong and loving relationship with her Lord and was a faithful member of Wesley Chapel, Mountain City, TN. Ruby enjoyed every day of her life; she always had a word of encouragement to share, never complained and was "Mom" to everyone. She will be missed by not only her family but all the lives she touched throughout her 87 years.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday March 28, 2016 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W Stockton St., Elkton, MD with visitation beginning at 5 p.m. Private interment will be in Union Cemetery, Union, MD.

A service will also be held in Tennessee at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Amedisys Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
