Rosalie Darwicki Whiteley

Rosalie Whiteley, age 67, of Elkton, MD, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 22, 2016. Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rose Darwicki.

Mrs. Whiteley worked at ACME for many years, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love for animals.

Survivors include her children and grandchildren: daughter, Mary Ann Burris and her husband, Harry Ellis, and their son, Harry, Elkton, MD; son, Bill Miller, Newark, DE; and daughter, Lisa Crouse and her husband, Matthew, and their sons, Kevin and Nickolas, Elkton, MD. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Green and Deloris Hartnett and her daughter, Rosie; and brothers, Henry and Joseph Darwicki and their families, all residing in Delaware.

She will be missed greatly by all.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
