Marvin E. Dixon, Sr., 75, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023. Born in Chesterville, MD on April 23, 1948, he was the son of the late Thomas Vincent Dixon and Mary Jane Sennett.

Mr. Dixon worked for Blenheim Homes and enjoyed working in his trade as a carpenter and supervisor of his job site. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and having a home cooked meal was one of his favorite things. He was a very sociable person, who loved to interact with people, which made him a lot of friends along the way. He loved to tell stories about his childhood and jokes, even if no one else thought they were funny. He was the hardest working man, he loved what he did and would drop everything to help his family.

Survivors include his children, Nicole Steichen (Marcel), Marvin E. Dixon, Jr. (Susan), Cindy Baillargeon (Donnie), and Louis Dixon; grandchildren, Eliana, and Annabelle Steichen, Tabatha Gonzalez (Cory), Tizin and Troy Turnbo (Yulya) and Jackson Baillargeon; great-grandchildren, Kaydance, Kynzee and Aiyanna Gonzalez, Talynn and Caele Mitchell, and Lilliana, Valentina, and Cade Turnbo; sisters, Darlene Wingler, Sarah Powell, and Margaret Wallace, and former wife, Linda Dvorak-Dixon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by brothers, Samuel and Thomas Dixon.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD  21921.  Interment will be private.
