Brenda L. Crawford

Brenda Lee Crawford, age 53, of North East, MD, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Margie Russell Carter.

Brenda is survived by the love of her life and husband of 21 years, Danny Crawford; sisters, Paula A. Carter Dilks (Bill), Elkton, MD, and Marguerite Smith, Port Deposit, MD; and brother, William Carter, Charlestown, MD. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, Willie (Mary Ellen), Zachary, Margie, Mariah and Sidney; and great-nieces, Hayden, Kaylee, Kylie, Macy, Lola and Cecelia. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Maro Crawford; and sister-in-law, Alicia Crawford.

Brenda worked at Father Martin's Ashley in Harford County, and attended Restore Life Church, Perryville, MD. She loved cooking large meals and spending time with her family, including her longtime friend, Jayne Hamilton. Some of her most treasured activities included spending time with her beloved great-nieces, Kylie and Kaylee. She was loved by all who knew her and always had an open heart to those in need. Brenda was a truly wonderful person and will be dearly missed.

Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2016, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, with interment in North East Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday, May 1, at the funeral home.
