Yvonne Christine Lewis, 68, of Elkton, MD, affectionately known to family and friends as Bonnie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 1, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Annie Mae Martin and Victor P. Phoebus, Sr.

Bonnie retired as a cook in the food service industry. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends as well as exploring the islands of the Caribbean on her many memorable cruise ship voyages.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Michael R. Lewis, Sr.; children, Michael R. Lewis, Jr. (Kimberly), and James A. Lewis (Sarah); 3 wonderful grandchildren; brother, David Martin; and sisters, Wanda Finneran-Cope, and Anne Phoebus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah L. Irons; and brother, Victor P. Phoebus, Jr.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10AM. Interment will be private.
