Winefred Coleman Johnston, 82, of Elkton, MD passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE on September 4, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Callie Bogle Coleman.

Winefred dedicated much of her professional life to banking, spending many years with the Bank of Delaware. After its acquisition by PNC in 1989, she continued her work there until retirement. Outside of her career, she enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her garden, and exploring new places through travel. Winefred will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Cathy Hutchinson (Art), David Coleman (Erica), both of Elkton, MD, and Kermit Morrison (Trish), Newark, DE; grandchildren, Callie, Chris, Jennifer, Karen, Mark, Michael, Kimberly, Sydney, Nicholas, Erica, and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Meghan, Kory, Katie, Zach, Molly, Joey, Emily, Jacob, Aiden, Caiden, Dallas, Adelynn, Braylynn, Maverick, and Julian; and great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Rosalei, and Josiah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Johnston; son, Christian Boulden; and her brother, Christian Coleman.
