Willie Dallas Watson, Jr., 83, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Born in Elkton, MD on May 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Willie and Jeannie Watson.

Willie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army's esteemed 82nd Airborne Division, and after his honorable service he retired as a dedicated truck driver, a profession that spanned his entire career. Willie found great joy in the company of his family, particularly in spoiling his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also an avid train enthusiast, Teamster, and proud member of the Mason Dixon Post 194 in Rising Sun, MD.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Jackie Adams Watson; daughters, Kelley Joswick (Don), Newark, DE, Deb Ray (Ed), and Elise Watson, both of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Jenn Simpkins, Brandon Joswick, Brett Joswick, Amy Sampson, and Coltan Ray; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Kaylee, Harper, Hunter, Carter, Chase, Aubrey, and Matthew; and sister, Janet Bouchelle, Elkton, MD

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Monday, June 24, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
