William Anthony Magaw, Sr., age 64, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Born in Elkton on September 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Ernest K., Sr. and Florence Delahunty Magaw.
Mr. Magaw retired from Amtrak after 32 years of service. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Magaw enjoyed playing his guitar and the company of his canine companions, Scrappy and Luke, and his granddog, Peanut Hensley. An avid Orioles and Ravens fan, he had coached Elkton Little League and Elkton Junior Football.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kim Bradley Magaw; children, Christina Hensley (Jeremy), Belvidere, IL, and Bill A. Magaw, Jr. (Kristen), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Jared and Keira Hensley, and Colton Magaw; and sister, Retta Tarr (Mickey), Port Deposit, MD.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Magaw was preceded in death by his brothers, Corky, Bob and Rick Magaw.
Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Interment will be private.
