William Harry Potter, III, 63, of North East, MD passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Born in Wilmington, DE on October 26, 1960, he was the son of Dorothy Latchum Oberly and the late William H. Potter, Jr.

Bill worked as a mason in the construction industry. He loved playing chess, gardening, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 11 years, Dinah Hawkins Jones; daughters, Jamei Potter (Ryan), Elkton, MD, Gabrielle Potter, Wilmington, DE; stepson, Chris Jones, North East, MD; grandchildren, Madison, Curtis, Jr., Aubree, MacKenzie, Oliver, Paisley; brothers, John Younker, Atlantic City, NJ and Stanley Potter, Hartley, DE.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda and Debbie, and infant brothers, Keith and Kevin.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
