William "Bill" Garner Sickles, 81, of Elkton, MD passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 after sustaining a series of illnesses. Born in Dover, NJ on September 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Garner, Sr. and Florence Tebo Sickles.

Bill graduated from Dover High School in 1960. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted and served his country with honor in the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, Bill settled in Elkton, where he began a distinguished professional career as a Federal Torque Inspector and later retired from the Chrysler Corporation after 35 years. Bill had also been a proud and active member of the Cecil Post15, and the UAW Local 1183 for 32 years, where he forged lasting friendships.

In 1969, Bill married Audrey Basham, and together they had one child, Christopher Sickles, Sr. He had a deep affection for his high school classmates and remained extremely active in organizing and participating in class reunions. He enjoyed planning and storytelling. Bill lived for the next reunion, always eager to reconnect with his friends and reminisce.

Survivors include his granddaughter Skyla Sickles; sisters and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Sickles, Sr.; and grandson, Christopher Sickles, Jr.
