Virginia "Ginny" Whitley Steele, 89, of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Born in Maryland on June 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Louise Whitley.

Ginny dedicated many years until her retirement as a stenographer for DuPont. She was a member of Moore's Chapel Church where she found joy in her faith and community. Ginny was an avid crafter, loved to bake, and play bingo. She also enjoyed spending time at her second home in Potter County, PA.

Survivors include her caregivers for 7 years, Ray Anderson and Brenda Curry, Elkton, MD; cousin, Barbara Spencer, Mouth of Wilson, VA; along with many other second cousins; and stepchildren, Sandra Goodley-Magers, Mark Steele (Nancy), and Debra Daly (Brian).

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Steele.

Funeral service will be held 2 PM, Monday, October 21, 2024 at Moore's Chapel Church, 392 Blake Road, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be in Moore's Chapel Cemetery.
