Vernon Nelson Lee, 92, of Port Deposit, MD passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Born in Chester County, PA on May 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Walter and Sarah Burns Lee.

Vernon devoted his life to the land he cherished, working as a dairy farmer until his well-deserved retirement. Outside of farming, he had many passions, including a love for country music and square dancing. He also enjoyed hunting, raising turkeys on his farm, and feeding the birds.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Louise Greenplate Lee; children, Marilyn Wilson (Steve), Colora MD, Linda Wade (Michael), Taylors, SC, and Thomas Lee (Jill), Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Joseph Wilson (Lindsay), Timothy Wilson, Benjamin Wade (Zoe), James Wade (Paige), Daniel Wade (Rebecca), Thomas Wade (Joanne), Bryanna Sanders (Jeremey), and Austin Lee; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Vernon H. Lee.

Graveside service will be private.
