Tracy Faye Thompson Oikemus, 55, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Elkton on April 10, 1970, she was the daughter of  Margaret "Faye" Cantler Thompson and the late Joseph Thompson.

Mrs. Oikemus loved to cook, participate in car shows and spend time with her three grandchildren, who she was very proud of and loved with all her heart. She also loved helping people the best way she could. Mrs. Oikemus was a fantastic mother figure to all of her son's friends, who all called her mom.

In 2019 Mrs. Oikemus had open heart surgery where she had a LVAD installed. After she was passionate about showing people how it worked and teaching patients how it worked, and how it saved her life.

Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Edward Okiemus Jr; son, Derek Okiemus (Fiancée, Brandie Beats); grandchildren, Alexander Okiemus, Kaleb Frank, and Mia Frank; mother-in-law, Judy Okiemus; aunt, Mary Todd; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date
