Stephen Christopher Trotto, 58, of Elkton, MD passed away on September 15, 2023. Born in Wilmington, DE on December 23, 1964, he was the son of John A. Trotto (Franny), Rehoboth Beach, DE, and the late Elizabeth Opal Trotto.

A U.S. Marine veteran, Mr. Trotto graduated from Elkton High School where he had been an All-Star football player. He was employed as a Cement Mason for Union Local #36, Wilmington, DE. He enjoyed fishing, reading, playing basketball and being outdoors in his spare time. He was also known as a very giving man that was there for anyone in need.

In addition to his father, survivors include his companion of 18 years, Betty Sue Dove and her three children, Elkton, MD; children, Sterling L. Harris, Elkton, MD, Brianna E. Funk, Wilmington, DE; two granddaughters; siblings, Theresa Price (Walter, Sr.), Bethany Beach, DE, Kelly Campbell (Jeff), Elkton, MD and Tracey Trotto-Miloway (Austin Adams), Newark, DE; several nieces and nephews, and his special friend and caregiver, Thelma Behr-Rybak

Funeral service will be held 2 PM, Friday, September 22, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A. at 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921 to assist with funeral expenses.
