Siegfried Laskowski

Siegfried Laskowski, age 85, of Earleville, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Born in Gollub, Poland, on May 17, 1931, he was the son of the late Franz and Gertrud Kobel Laskowski.

Mr. Laskowski retired from Medford Foods, Chester, PA, as a meat packer. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and loved spending time with his family. An avid nature lover and outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, water sports, ice sports, snow skiing, and going to the mountains and the beach.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Gieder Laskowski; sons, Frederick Laskowski, Bear, DE, Steven Laskowski, Earleville, MD, Michael Laskowski, Lester, PA, and Gregory Laskowski, Newark, DE; granddaughters, Nicole, Danielle, Sarah, Shelby and Holley Laskowski; and siblings, Raymond Laskowski, Richard Laskowski, Lucie Steffan, Christel Polewezak and Anita Munce.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Laskowski was preceded in death by his siblings, Teofil Laskowski, Irene Schlottau and Edith Gerhardt.

Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, December 12, 2016, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
