Sherry Lynn Wren, 74, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Born in Elkton on April 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Doris Jackson Frederick.

Sherry worked for many years as an administrative assistant in the insurance industry, where she was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and supportive nature. A longtime resident of the community, Sherry was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in Elkton and participated in the Eastern Shore Dart League, where she formed many lasting friendships. She had a zest for life that showed in the simple pleasures she enjoyed—shopping trips with friends and family, and countless hours spent crafting, a hobby she truly loved. Sherry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Joseph Poe; children, Billy Barnett (Michelle), Elkton, MD, Christopher Poe, Wilmington, DE, and Joanna Poe, San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Eric Barnett, Brittany Barnett (Josh Houskamp), Adam Barnett (Chelsea Crownover), and Trinity Stewart (Shawn); great-grandchildren, Avaline Houskamp and Everleigh Stewart; and her siblings, Dale Frederick (Sandy), Kim Frederick (Wally McKeown), Pamela Fowler (Foster), Kevin Frederick, Duane Frederick, Robbin Borkoski (Gerald), and Darlene Terrill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Barnett Jr. and Troy Barnett; and her siblings, Jake Frederick, Gary Frederick, and Brenda Goff.

Celebration of Life will be private.
