Shavontae Latoya Givens, 38, of Clayton, DE passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY on February 8, 1988, she was the daughter of Vermail Noel Furlow and the late Wayne Thomas.

Shavontae worked as a customer service representative for AAA, where she was known for helping others with kindness and care. She loved traveling, singing, taking photos, dining out, shopping, and playing games. Shavontae especially cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love. Her presence brought happiness to those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 11 years; Rene M. Givens Jr, son; Xavion Givens, siblings; Raynisha Furlow-Carter, Moneeka Parker, Walter Parker Jr., Alexis Robinson, Cameron Noel, Sincere Thomas, Jermaine Williams, and Arabia Williams, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, grandfathers; James Furlow Sr. and Henry Priesta, and her favorite uncle, Jamie.

Funeral service will be held 12 PM, Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Abundant Life Church, 250 Booth St, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be private.
