Sandra Kay Johnson, 75, of MIddletown, DE, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. Born in McComas, WV on October 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Mary Taylor Gilbert.

Mrs. Johnson had retired as a jewelry store manager. A supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, she loved dancing and shopping.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joe Johnson; daughter, Penny Reenstra, Middletown, DE; grandchildren, Shawn and Shane Reenstra and Amanda Hall; great-grandchildren, Scotty, Brynn, and Brooke Hall; and siblings, Gail Dean (Albert) and Madeline Moore, both of Elkton, MD, Danny Gilbert (Debbie), Middletown, DE, and Mark Gilbert (Karen), North East, MD.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brothers, Darrell, Leslie, and Johnny Gilbert.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M, Friday, June 16, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921, with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Rose Bank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
