Robyn Ann Dempsey, 68, of Rising Sun, MD passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021.  Born in West Grove, PA on January 13, 1953, she was the daughter of Betty Greer Donnelly, Rising Sun and the late William G. Donnelly.

Mrs. Dempsey retired from Nichols Excavating where she had worked in the office and had previously worked for Crouse Brothers Excavating.  She enjoyed sewing, baking, and celebrating the Christmas holiday.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Dempsey is survived by her husband of 48 years, Russell Dempsey; daughter-in-law, Sherry Dempsey; grandson, A. J. Dempsey, Jr. and brother, William G. Donnelly, Jr. (Elsie), Honey Grove, PA.

Mrs. Dempsey was preceded in death by her father, William Donnelly, and her son, Russell Alan Dempsey.

Funeral service will be held 6 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921 with visitation beginning at 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christian Retreat Center in care of the funeral home at the above address.
