Roberta Mayfield Truman, age 69, of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022. Born in Cincinnati, OH, on September 16, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ola Mayfield Leugers.

A graduate of Regina High School, Cincinnati, Mrs. Truman went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Xavier University, Cincinnati, and a Juris Doctor from Florida State University School of Law. A member of the Florida and Missouri Bar, she also studied piano at the University of Cincinnati College of Music. Mrs. Truman retired from the U.S. Department of Justice, where she worked as an attorney for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. An avid reader, Bobbie enjoyed reading books about the history of the Civil War, science fiction, and Egyptian Archaeology. In her spare time, she loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and baking. Through all her ventures in life, her greatest love and devotion was to her family; her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandsons.

Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Michael A. Truman; daughter, Andrea L. Gundogdu (Murat); grandsons, Adem, Ty, and John, all of West Haven, CT; and brother, Phillip Leugers (Carol), Cincinnati, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD  21901, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church; or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921.
