Robert Allen Helmick, 74, of Elkton, MD passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Born in Westernport, MD on October 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Carl and Ruth Shirley Helmick.

Bob affectionately known as “Punkin” by his family and friends was a retired journeyman electrician. He was a proud member of the Redmen club of Westernport, MD. Bob enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and bowling. He loved gathering with friends and family, never met a stranger, and was truly a social butterfly. Bob was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos.

Survivors include his sister; Sandy “Button” Symons (Ronald), nieces; Tammie Raines (Scott), Nicole Mayhew (James), nephews; Jeffery Tichnell and Danny Tichnell and their children. Great-nieces; Sierra Smearman (Josh) and Gracie Raines, great-nephew; Layton Mayhew. He will be loved and missed by his extended Guns family and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be private.
