Robert Alan Frantsi Sr., 79, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born in Elkton on April 3, 1946, he was the son of the late A. Edwin and Hilda Lusby Frantsi.

Robert retired after many years of service as an assembler at Chrysler. He had been a longtime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and he found great joy in getting behind the wheel, taking in different scenic routes and exploring the world around him. Robert will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Garrett Frantsi; daughters, Kimberly Frantsi, Newark, DE, and Laura Smallwood (Charles), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Britney Breslin-Jones, Brenton Breslin, Ethan Breslin, Tyler Smallwood, and Elizabeth Smallwood; great-grandchildren, Eloise Jones and Archer Jones; and brothers, Bill Fransti (Louise), and John Frantsi, both of Elkton, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Frantsi Jr.; and sister, Barbara Pinder.

All services will be private.
