Richard Lee Rhoades Sr., 67, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born in Elkton, MD on May 28, 1957, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Betty Bullock Rhoades.

For many years, Richard worked as a truck driver in the stone hauling business, a career he truly loved. He took great pride in his work, finding joy in the freedom and adventure that came with the job. Richard was also an avid fan of yard work, and he had a deep love for motorcycles and enjoyed riding and embracing the thrill of the open road.

Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Tammy; his children, Richard Jr., April, and Brandy; stepchildren, Katie, Justin, and Kenny; numerous grandchildren; and his brothers, George Jr. and Fred.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Loretta and Jeff.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
