Rex Olsen Rash, 88, of Newark, DE, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Born in Forest Hill, MD, on February 2, 1935, he was the son of the late Carl and Matilda Estep Rash.

Mr. Rash was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1952-1955, and retired as a vending mechanic in the machine repair industry.

Survivors include his wife of over 26 years, Edna Rash; children, Gerry Auditor, AZ, Debbie Krigstein, Wilmington, DE, Jim Rash, New Castle, DE; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Rash and Mary Lou Rash.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gene Rash, Jessie Hawkins, Herbert Rash, Russell Rash, Arlie Rash and Ruth Rash.

Funeral service will be held 11:45 AM, Monday, October 2, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10:45 AM. Interment with military honors will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
