Reinaldo "Ray / Papito"  Diaz, Jr., age 59, of Elkton, MD, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 11, 1966, he was the son of Reinaldo and Ramona Arroyo Diaz.

Mr. Diaz retired from Amazon Corporation after many years of dedicated service. He deeply loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Whether sharing laughs, running errands together, or simply being present for those he cared about most. He enjoyed shopping, watching sports, and had a special passion for fixing cars, always ready to lend his skills and help others. His hard work, kindness, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his children, Reinaldo Diaz, III, and Alyssa R. Diaz, both of North East, MD; granddaughters, Xena R. Diaz and  Cynthia R. Jackson; fiancé, Jayme Freeman, and her son, Wyatt Sund,  Elkton, MD; sisters, Clotilde "Mindy" Sepulveda (Frank) and Cynthia Diaz, both of Elkton, MD; step-son, Luis "Boo-Boo" Lebron; niece, Bianca C. Sepulveda; nephews, Derek Deleon and Brandon R. Sepulveda; and mother of his children, Betsy Vasquez, and her daughter, Tiana Latimore.

Visitation will be held from 2 PM – 4 PM and will resume from 6 PM – 8 PM, Friday, January 16, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921. Prayer service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, at the above address with interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Elkton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reinaldo Diaz, Sr.
