Ralph Arlin Lewis Sr., 90, of Alvarado, VA passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Born in Damascus, VA on November 29, 1934, he was the son of the late Jacob and Myrtle Osborne Lewis.

Ralph retired after 27 years of hard work at Chrysler. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. His outgoing personality made him a friend to everyone—he truly never met a stranger. Ralph was a long-time member of First Assembly of God in Elkton, MD, and later Greenwood Freewill Baptist Church in Alvarado, VA, where he was an active and faithful participant in church life. His deep faith and generosity touched many lives.

Survivors include his children, Shirlena Philbin, Racine, WI, Ralph Lewis Jr. (Mary), Panther, WV, and Dwayne Lewis, Port Deposit, MD; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Shirley Gregg Lewis; second wife of 15 years, Marie Price Lewis; daughter, Dawn Lewis; siblings, Suzie, James, Henry, Harold, Howard, and Willis; and son-in-law, Thomas Philbin.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Sharps Cemetery, Fair Hill, MD.
