Paul Hans Schneider, age 92, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022. Born in Wilmington on March 8, 1930, he was the son of the late John "Pop" and Frida "Mommy" Jeger Schneider.

Paul graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Math and Physics from the University of Delaware, and a degree in Hotel Management from Cornell University. He went on to manage several hotels located on the island of Antigua, in Annapolis, MD, and Washington, D.C. Paul then returned to Elkton, MD, to work with his parents and became the owner of The Swiss Inn. A longtime member of the Elkton Rotary Club, he volunteered yearly to assist Elkton residents with completing their tax returns. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling in his RV, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons, Christopher Schneider (Jennifer Patterson), Wilmington, DE, and John Schneider (Bonnie), North East, MD; grandchildren, Kelly Dewispelaere, Christina Wolfe, Katie Brown, and William and Matthew Schneider; and greatgrandchildren, Ainsley and Adaline.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife of 28 years, Frances McNeal Schneider; and son, Garey Schneider.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 12 Noon. Interment in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, will be private.
