Paul Arendas, 90, of Hockessin, DE passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. Born in Johnstown, PA on July 20, 1934, he was the son of the late John and Julia Szegedi Arendas.

Paul proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. After his honorable service, he went on to have a long and successful career with Delta Airlines, where he worked as an avionics coordinator. Paul dedicated his life to kindness and service to his loved ones, providing a foundation of strength and wisdom for his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann Boccardi Arendas; daughter, Julie Huegel, North East, MD; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his brother, John Arendas Jr., Johnstown, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Doug Arendas; 4 brothers, John, Elias, George, and Stephen; and 2 sisters, Mary Kalinowski and Helen Maxim.

Graveside service will be held 1 PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Bay View Cemetery, Old Bay View Road, North East, MD 21901.
