Patricia Ann Lester Dickens, 70, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Born in Hurley, VA on October 6, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Jimmie Sr. and Beatrice Charles Lester.

Patricia was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was known for her kindness, compassion, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Throughout her life, she took great joy in caring for her family and others, always putting their needs above her own. She was an avid cook, often found in the kitchen preparing meals for loved ones. In her spare time, Patricia loved watching DIY builder shows, fascinated by new ways to create and build. She was an avid reader of the Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from its teachings. Patricia's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, her presence was a source of comfort and love to those around her.

Survivors include her son, Ira Lee Dickens (Samantha), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Ira Jr. and Roman; uncle, Roger Lester (Ginny); aunt, Brenda Bonsall (Jerry); nephew, Jimmy Lester III; and numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Garnet Dickens Sr.; son, Garnet Dickens Jr.; and brothers, Jimmy Lester Jr. and Darrell Lester.

Visitation will be held from 6 PM – 8 PM, Monday, December 16, 2024, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Funeral service will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 725 W. Pulaski Highway, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
