Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Pamela Jean (Taylor) Dennis, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 76.

Pamela (Pam) was the core of our home and family. For 56 years, she was the devoted wife and best friend of her soulmate, Charles M. Dennis, Jr. Together, they raised three children—Catherine (Cathy) Smith (55), Charles III (Chuck) (53), and Richard (51)—in a warm and loving environment, nurturing them into thoughtful and independent adults. As a grandmother, she was devoted and always eager to hear about the lives and achievements of her grandchildren: Kristen (23), Ryan (19), Jacob (17), Wesley (15) and Charlee (12). She cherished her loved ones with every visit, phone call, and virtual communication, always reminding them how important they were to her.

Pam was known for her gentle laugh, nurturing nature, and kind heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, our steadfast anchor, and her absence will be deeply felt. At the family's request, and considering the timing of her passing, no immediate services will be held. Instead, a celebration of Pam's life will take place in the Spring of 2025—her favorite season—in Harford County, Maryland, with sunshine, food, love, laughter, and lively conversation in remembrance of sweet Pamela Jean.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, a cause close to Pamela's heart for the disease that impacted her life immensely. "I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought, and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love."  -Leo Buscaglia
