Norman “Chucky” Claude Webster Sr., 77, of Elkton, MD went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2026 at Christiana Care. Born in Fair Hill, MD on February 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Colonel Anthony Webster and Bertha Delphine Williams Kirven.
Mr. Webster retired after dedicating over 34 years at Chrysler. He also spent 30 years in custodial services with Cecil County Public Schools. Mr. Webster’s biggest joy in life was his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He enjoyed watching westerns and Bruce Lee movies and was a handyman who could fix anything. Mr. Webster was a proud, faithful member of Providence United Methodist Church (PUMC) where he served as treasurer and trustee. He was recently recognized with the “Man of the Year” award by PUMC.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years; Florence Hickman Webster, children; Melissa Blount (Art), Elkton, MD, Michael Webster, Elkton, MD, Andrea Watson (Andre), Bristow, VA, Cory Webster (Natasha), District Heights, MD, Chakakhan Webster (Terry Chamberlain), Elkton, MD, and Norman Webster Jr. (Jahneé), Elkton, MD, twenty-three grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, siblings; Brenda Kay Lyle (Edwin), Newark, DE, Larry Webster Sr. (Ivy), Elkton, MD, Patricia Lyle (George), Elkton, MD, Philbert Webster (Alameda), New Castle, DE, Robert (Dorothy), Quinn Webster, Elkton, MD, Quinten Webster, Elkton, MD, Sharmaine Whalen, Elkton, MD, Sharline Hightower (Thomas), Elkton, MD, sister-in-laws; Loretta Deyo (Ruben), Louise Hickman, and Marjorie Earl Hayman, brother-in-law; Joseph Hickman Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, including special friends Joseph Jones and Ronnie Poore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings; Clifford Webster, Gwendolyn Bullock, Cornell Webster, and Joyce Sherrill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 157 E High St, Elkton, MD 21921.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Elkton United Methodist Church, 219 E Main St, Elkton, MD 21921 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be private in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
