Norma Gaye Potts, 78, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Born in Wheeling, WV, on January 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Linfield Hunt, Jr. and Helen Stanley and raised by her grandparents, the late Linfield, Sr. and Ann Hunt.

Mrs. Potts retired as the deli manager at ACME Supermarket, Elkton, and was currently employed at T/A Truck Stop. She fostered and adopted many dogs over the years and is survived by her faithful and loving dog, Jesse.

Survivors include her children, Richard, Jr. (Suzanne), Robert (Linda), and Randall Potts (Elena), all of Elkton; grandchildren, Jennifer Potts-Hilton, Ryan, Kevin, Kristen, Christopher, and Ashley Potts; great-grandchildren, Joey Hilton, Isabella Gatewood, Ella, Emma, and Evan Potts; and brother, Linfield Hunt, III, New Castle, DE.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard Potts, Sr.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, July 28, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Gilpin Memorial Park, Elkton.
