Nell VanDyke Delp, 94, of North East, MD passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. Born in Rising Sun, MD on April 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Etta Reedy VanDyke.

Mrs. Delp dedicated her life to being a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home that was a source of comfort to all who knew her. She loved working on crossword puzzles, browsing for treasures during trips to Goodwill, and spending quiet time in the comfort of her home. Mrs. Delp cherished the outdoors, enjoying camping trips and working alongside her husband on their property, building a life together through shared effort and care. She also held special memories of trips to Disney, where she embraced moments of fun and wonder.

Survivors include her children; Sharon Davis (Ron) Fairhope, AL, Elton G. Delp Jr. (Leah), Colora, MD, Christopher A. Delp (Melinda), Rising Sun, MD, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her loving husband of 58 years; Elton G. Delp Sr., two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 1, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in New Bridge Baptist Church, Colora, MD.
