Mildred I. Blomquist , age 83, of North East, MD, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 27, 2023. Born in Elkton, MD on May 13, 1939, she was daughter of the late Esko and Naimi Lehto. She was preceded in death by husband Robert F. Blomquist, daughters Lori (Russell) Kangas and Janice (Loren) Tikka, brother Kenneth Lehto, sisters May Upjohn and Jane Lobbestael.

She was married to Bob for 61 years and is survived by her children Lynn (Andy) Hendrickson, Frank (Anne) Blomquist, Bill (Julia) Blomquist, Robert (Sheilah) Blomquist, Judy (Eric) Kangas, Jill (Darin) Andersen, Fred (Karen) Blomquist, 51 grandchildren, 167 great-grandchildren and siblings Norman Lehto, Paula Johnston, Linda Gagliardo, and Miriam Lobbestael.

Millie loved to garden and bake and was well-loved for her cheery friendly nature.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 2038 Pleasant Valley Road, Newark, DE. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, at the church. Interment will be at Bay View Cemetery.
