Michael "Mike"
Harris Phillips
June 25, 1963 – October 18, 2023
Michael "Mike" Phillips, 60, of Elkton, MD entered eternal peace on October 18, 2023. Born in Hoboken, NJ on June 25, 1963, he was the son of the late Raymond Bulin and Marilyn Ryan.
Mike was a great friend and even greater husband and father. A skilled tradesman carpenter, business owner, and talented musician, he lit up when he brought joy to others and especially when his wife, Margaret laughed. While he experienced many hardships in life, he tirelessly worked to ensure he provided a better life for his family. In addition to being a hard worker, he had the rare ability to build anything he put his mind to. His legacy lives on in many carpentry projects at a special place, Doherty's Campground. He was an avid learner and was fascinated with the mystery of science. He also enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and graced many stages and camp fires playing guitar and bass. Mike achieved a lifetime dream when he was united with his father after 55 years, connecting through Ancestry.com. Mike will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Margaret; children, Melissa (Chris), Michael; granddaughter, Sydney; siblings, Melody Baylis (Dennis), Darlene Edwing, Tommy Phillips (Bonnie), Tara Buckley (Stephen), Adam Bulin (Lindsey); brothers-in-law, Bernard Doherty (Patti), Damien Doherty (Bruna); in-laws, Margaret and Bernie Doherty; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his beloved fur children, Piggy and Bucky.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Nellie's of East Durham, 22212 State Route 145, East Durham, NY 12423, from 3 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
