Mary "Lisa" Melissa Guns, 65, of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Born in Elkton on September 9, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Herbert H. and Anna L. Haggerty Guns.

Ms. Guns retired from Terumo where she worked as a Utility II Production Associate for over 30 years. She attended Immaculate Conception Church and Immaculate Conception School, then continued her education at Cecil Community College. Ms. Guns enjoyed bowling, camping at the family pool, being at her grandfather's farm, Sunday and holiday dinners at her parents' house, and spending quality time with her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her siblings, Ron Guns (Linda), Nancy Ohrel, John Guns (Debbie), Sandy Whitten (Will), Frank Guns, all of Elkton, Linda Roper, Lewes, DE, Angie Guns, Odenton, MD, Peter Guns (Jolene), Rising Sun, MD, and Steven Guns (Angie), Earleville, MD; and sister-in-law, Donna Guns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Guns; and brother-in-law, Ron Ohrel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation from 9:30 – 10:45 AM in the Church Chapel. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cecil County Animal Services Foundation, at 3280 Augustine Herman Highway, Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
