Mary Hofmann, 84, of Elkton, MD passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rhoda Daley Holst.

A retired teacher, Mrs. Hofmann enjoyed reading, crocheting, and trivia.

Survivors include her daughter, Carrie Linton (Butch), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Evie, Alex, Katie, Malana (Jack), Zack, and Aarika (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Ephie, Julia, Tesla, and Layla; siblings, Ed Holst (Liz), Anne Holst Donahue; and sister-in-law, Susan Holst.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hofmann and siblings, Virginia, Robert, and John Holst.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 West Stockton Street, Elkton, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
