Mary Ann Ennis of Elkton, MD and formerly of Croydon, PA passed away on February 28, 2024 at the age of 88. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 25, 1936 in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Pudmanski. She moved to Langhorne, PA in 1953 to work as a telephone operator. She met her husband Dave on a blind date on December 31, 1953 and they eloped 6 months later, on June 7, 1954. They were married for 64 years and had 7 children: Mary Ann (Barry) Williams, Elkton, MD, Mike Ennis (Clayton Grinage), Hudson, FL, Kathleen (Joe) Mundy, West Chester, PA, David (Beth) Ennis, Bristol, PA, Susan (Al) Goodman, Langhorne, PA, Mark (Denise) Ennis, Bristol, PA, and Patricia Ennis (deceased), Croydon, PA. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sisters, Carol Kiska and Alvina Austin, brother, Jerome Pudmanski, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Zimmerman.
Mary Ann was gifted with a sharp mind and a quick wit. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. She was a woman of great faith, her afternoons devoted to prayer. She believed in the power of prayer. She loved being "Mom Mom" and considered herself Mom Mom to both family and friends. She ended her conversations with, "Love you more." And she meant it.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA. The viewing will be from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a mass at 11 AM, and burial at St. Mark's Cemetery, 2519 Bristol Pike, Croydon, PA.
Charitable contributions may be made in her memory to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (address above). Flowers are also welcome.
