Mary "Susie" Elizabeth Smith, 84, of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Born in Hilldale, WV, on February 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Middie Rakes Wyant.

Susie worked for many years as a house manager at the domestic violence shelter, in Elkton, MD. She loved spending time with her family, and her dog Charlie. Susie enjoyed traveling, camping, canning, and playing bingo.

Survivors include her son, Robert Lee Smith (Cindy), Elkton, MD; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Smith; daughter, Opal Nojunas; grandson, Bobby Smith; and all of her siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
