Marvin Roderick Richardson, age 86, of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. Born in Raleigh, NC, on April 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Earl and Wilma Lee Richardson.

Mr. Richardson retired from Dupont Corp., where he had worked as an engineer. He loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Frances Lee Lewis Richardson; children, Barry R. Richardson, Wilmington, DE; Elizabeth F. Kuhn (Michael), Wilmington, DE;  3 grandchildren, Ian (Isabella), Cameron (Javin), and Charlotte Richardson; siblings Brenda R. Spencer (Johnny), Greenville, NC; and Walter E. Richardson (Jean), Raleigh, NC; and daughter-in-law Debra Richardson, Newark, DE.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his son, Brian S. Richardson.

Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 40 Old Newark Rd, Newark, DE 19713. Zoom attendance recommended, see family for details.  Interment will be private.
