Martha Olive Grice, age 81, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021. Born in Pennsylvania on July 21, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln and Hazel Good Helsel.

Mrs. Grice was a domestic engineer and had been a Board of Elections Judge. She loved and enjoyed being with her children and family, as well as being there for everyone that needed her. Mrs. Grice enjoyed walking the beach, lighthouses, owls, and playing bingo. She also looked forward to her mornings at Denny's with friends.

Survivors include her children, Phyllis Duchesnaye, Manchester, NH, and Michelle Whitfield, Charlotte, NC; siblings, Barbara Bryant, Bel Air, MD, Retta Absher, White Marsh, MD, Allen Helsel, Newark, DE, and Louis Helsel, Clio, SC; 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grice was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Grice, Jr.; children, William Grice, Kimberly Johnson, and Pamela Durham; siblings, Elizabeth Thomas, Jerry Helsel, Robert Helsel, Martin Helsel, and Reagis Helsel.

A private graveside service will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
