Mardis “Mardy” Earl Ham, 80, of Elkton, MD passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Born in Huntington, PA on September 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Garland and Sarah Downin Ham.

Mr. Ham retired after 25 dedicated years of service at General Motors. He was a member of the Elkton Moose Lodge #851, UAW Local #435 and VFW Post 8175. Mr. Ham enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and in his younger years loved racing cars.

Survivors include his son; Mark E. Ham (Niki), Rising Sun, MD, five grandchildren, sister; JoAnn Smith (Mickey), Elkton, MD and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter; Dawn C. Thoms and sister; Virginia Ganzman.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Elkton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Judes Children’s Research Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals at the above listed address.
