Lois Emerson Mason, 88, of Newark, DE, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023. Born in Wilmington, DE on February 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Mary Anna Blackburn Emerson.

Mrs. Mason was a 1953 graduate of William Penn High School, New Castle, DE. She had worked at Atlas Chemicals, Wilmington, DE, and along with her late husband, Robert, owned and operated Delmar Equipment in Elkton, MD. Mrs. Mason was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with family, baking, and watching baseball.

Survivors include her son, Roger Reed Mason, North East, MD; and siblings, Charles Emerson, Bear, DE, Carolyn "Dutch" Jensen, New Castle, DE, Herb Emerson, Jasper, IN, and Robert Emerson, Middletown, DE.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mason; and brother, George Emerson.

Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M, Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, with visitation beginning at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
