Leona "Lolly" Garnetta Mullen, 98, of North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023. Born in Greencastle, PA, on March 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bruce Wills and Ruth Hart Juergensen and her husband Juergen Juergensen.

Mrs. Mullen retired after 27 years from Union Hospital where she worked as an Licensed Practical Nurse.

Survivors include her children, Judy A. Mullen, North East, MD and Donna M. Ward (Thomas), Perryville, MD ; grandchildren, Michelle Soots and William A. Ward; great-grandson, Max Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elmer R. Mullen; her daughter, Kay Reynolds, and granddaughter, Andrea Reynolds.

Leona loved to sew and crochet, she was also a Faithful Elkton Church of God and Newark Church of God member.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals at 103 W. Stockton St, Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m.. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park.
