Lawrence "Sonny" E. Coulbourne, 81, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Born in Wilmington, DE on September 29, 1942, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Katherine Kennedy Coulbourne.

Sonny retired as the produce manager at Acme Market. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in the thrill of drag racing and dirt racing. Above all else, Sonny treasured quality time spent with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Carmen McCraw Coulbourne; children, Keith Coulbourne (Debbie), and Judy Coulbourne, both of Elkton, MD; siblings, Richard Coulbourne (Sissy), Elkton, MD, and Sharon Doster (Fred), Fort Myers, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Meekins, Mary Lou Yates, and Deborah McCoy.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
