Larry James Wright, age 77, of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. Born in Tazewell, VA on February 29, 1944, he was the son of the late Dewey and Grace Hess Wright.

Mr. Wright had worked for 26 years in the family business, Wright's Deli, in Elkton. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and horse racing. Most of all, Mr. Wright enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gladys Kirk Wright; children, Karan Leas (David), Chesapeake City, MD, Shelley Pawley (David), Vernon Wright (Michelle), Gary Wright (Carol), and Larry Wright, all of Elkton, MD; sisters, Sharon Deaver, Elkton, MD, and Betty Ulrich, Lewis, DE; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wright is preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Monroe; and siblings, Shirley Vermeersch, Buford Wright, Pete Wright, Donnie Wright, and Wayne Wright.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021, at Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
