July 23, 1957 – January 19, 2022
Kenneth Grant Ball, age 64, of North East, MD, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Born in Glens Falls, NY, on July 23, 1957, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary Carota Ball.
Mr. Ball was the owner and operator of Ken Ball Home Inspections and Environmental Testing. As a member of Word of Life Christian Center, he was on the worship team and played the bass. A loving husband, father, and poppy, he enjoyed riding four-wheelers and playing chess with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed metal detecting. A very positive and encouraging person, he worked with the Good Neighbors Program, as well as helped anyone in need.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Joetta VanDyke Ball; children, Athena Brown (Rory), Heidi Harris (Matthew), and Kennetta Gonzalez-Nieto (Arnoldo), all of North East, MD; grandchildren, Jocelyn and Micah Brown, Julianna, Etta, Grant, and Elizabeth Harris, and Mikaela, Izabella, and Xzavier Gonzalez-Nieto; siblings, Gary Ball, Bertha Coburn, Mary Ball, and Florence Sherman, all of New York; and extended family, Gerald and Gail Rozell, and their children, Matthew Rozell, Gerrilynn Petersen, Cheryl Baldini; and Willis and Wanda Forbes (Pop and Mom).
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ball was preceded in death by brothers, David, Michael, Robert, and William Ball.
********DUE TO THE PROPOSED FORECAST FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER THE SERVICE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO*******A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Word of Life Christian Center, 854 Old Baltimore Pike, Newark, DE 19702, where visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private. If you are unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed by visiting https://www.youtube.com/wordoflifedelaware
