Kemal Karakullukcu, 59, of Elkton, MD passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Eynesil, Turkey on June 6, 1964, he was the son of Emine Kus Karakullukcu and the late Ali Karakullukcu.

Kemal was the previous owner and chef of the Elkton Diner and JoJo's, Bridge Street Restaurant. He loved to cook and was well known for his soup.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Cunard Karakullukcu; stepchildren, Jason Ossowski, Joelle Luffman, Justin Ossowski; and his siblings in Turkey.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A., at 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921 to help defray funeral expenses.
