Kayla Ann Farr-Perkins, 36, of Elkton, MD passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born in Elkton on October 15, 1988, she was the daughter of Ira Farr and Rose Perkins (Vic Reider), both of Elkton, MD.

Kayla had worked for many years as a caregiver and house cleaner, where her compassion and attention to detail touched the lives of everyone she cared for. She had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved cats and her dog, Princess, who brought her much joy and comfort. She was also an avid painter, had a fondness for collecting owls, and had been an active member of 4-H in her younger years. Kayla will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her brother, Eric Sturgill; paternal grandmother, Verla Farr; aunts, Mary Beth Malin and Lisa Gray; and uncles, James Farr, Wayne Farr, Michael Farr, and Sambo Perkins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wallace and Barbara Perkins, and Elizabeth Reider; and uncle, Frank Farr.

Memorial service will be held 6 PM, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 5 PM. Interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
